Desert Manna Food Pantry, Inc.
Desert Desert Manna is a Food Pantry in East Mesa, Arizona. Each Saturday morning we distribute boxes of groceries at no cost and with no strings attached to families in need in our community.
Do you need help? We are equipped to serve the community living between Power Road and Meridian, and between McKellips Road and Southern Avenue. If you live outside of this area and need food, we will be happy to give you a box of groceries, but we do suggest that you go to the website of either the United Food Bank, St Mary’s Food Bank, or Vivery, which can direct you to a Food Pantry closer to you. (There are about 10,000 people living in the area described here.) Our goal is to serve as many as we can with what we have.
PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR SCHEDULE FOR FOOD DISTRIBUTION IS EVERY SATURDAY FROM 7 AM TO 10 AM.
Since CoViD we have been averaging between 150 and 250 boxes of food each week, which means that about that number of families are being fed each week through this Food Pantry. We expect to see more families coming in the next few weeks due to the recent Government shutdown and unavaiibility of SNAP Food Stamps. We trust God to provide the food to meet the need each week.
The Food is donated mostly by local grocery stores, with some help also from nearby churches and individuals. We are not currently receiving any donations from the Government.
We give out food to as many families as come while the supply lasts. This has not usually been a problem, but you should know that the rule is “first come, first served.” We encourage you to come as early as you can.
The content of the boxes varies from one week to another and is dependent upon what we receive from our donating sources. However, each week we try to see to it that the boxes contain at least: Rice, Beans, Pasta, Canned Goods, Frozen Meat, and Bread and other Bakery Items.
